The Pantry officially debuts Sept. 10 at 3 p.m., but the kitchen is already hot, invited guests are testing the dishes and a $3 million makeover has created an airy, open plan, much-needed 24-hour restaurant for the Mirage.

First revealed back in February, the 9,324-square-foot space fills the void left by the former B.B. King's Blues Club and the temporary 10-seat True Pour bar

Encounter brass fixtures, amber glows, soft woods and wide open windows to attract guests arriving from three approaching directions, either the resort's hotel rooms, the pool and shopping district or the casino floor.

Wood flooring makes way to decorative tiling and to a mix of seating options including tall stools, cream booths with dark brown piping and stools facing the bar and open kitchen.

Bright white subway tiled walls feature shelving with mismatched framed prints and art pieces "symbolic of the nation's history." Cabinets displaying fine china are designed to create the mood "of a family kitchen." The clocks and brass touches are part of an effort by design team Munge Leung to evoke a sense of "nostalgia" in the customer.

Chalkboards will display daily specials and servers will be kitted out in "soft denim and flannel shirts," promoting a 24-hour menu that features their signature breakfast dishes available all day and night.
