Rumors of a burger joint replacing shuttered Uncle Joe's Pizza on Fremont East have been circulating Downtown for some time, so you knew it could only be connected with the usual suspects.
Resort Gaming Group is behind the new beef patty project first revealed by DTLV as Flippin' Good Burgers And Shakes. The name was registered for a trademark on May 6 last year, evidence that these Downtown shakeups don't just happen overnight.
Resort Gaming's honcho is Andrew Donner, CEO of the Life is Beautiful festival and the man behind the majority of Tony Hsieh and the Downtown Project's property acquisitions.
Thus far, Flippin' Good promises the "best burgers, fries and frozen custard in town...because fresh tastes better." No completion timetable has been announced.
The burgers will face the soon to be revamped Radio City Pizza, a soon to increase in size Park on Fremont and the future arrival of Fremont Social in the former dollar store space across the street.
