A Beer Dinner at Made LV and a Wine and Beer Tasting

TIVOLI VILLAGE — Made LV hosts a beer pairing dinner with chef-inspired comfort food dishes from executive chef Daniel Boling and brews from Big Dog’s Brewing Co. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 6:30 p.m. For tickets to the $39 dinner, 702-722-2000. Dinner starts with Hoppin John black eyed pea hummus, shaved artisan ham and rice cracker; pimento cheese cheddar gougeres with celery leaf; and Fancy Lemon & Herb Saison. The appetizer dish features shrimp and grits grilled shrimp with chicken chorizo, Anson Mills yellow grits, guajillo butter and herb salad paired with War Dog Imperial IPA. For the entree, smoked Kurobuta pork belly with roasted Brussels sprouts, marble potatoes and raisin puree paired with Smoked Winter Bock. For dessert, banana cream pie paired with Cherry Grand Cru. WESTGATE — Southern Nevada Public Television hosts its 26th Annual Splendor in the Glass wine and beer tasting event from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7. Chef Hubert Keller from Fleur and Burger Bar plans to do a cooking demonstration with some of his favorite dishes. Wines and beers from 60 wineries and breweries will be on hand as well as hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a live wine auction and silent auction, and music from the Woody Woods Jazz Combo.
