New York Chinese Restaurant demerits
Inspectors found staff washing their hands improperly, food unprotected from potential contamination, ineffective pest control measures, an inadequate number of handwashing sinks, and more.
The restaurant in Sun City received a 39-demerit inspection last October that was upgraded to an A grade three weeks later.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
