Here now, a look at the Yardbird Southern Table & Bar cocktail list, a program led by Robert Ortenzio. The specialty cocktails here number 10, set off by an ice program using five different types of hand-harvested craft cocktail ice, cut in house in an ice room.
First up, the ice. Find Clinebell-made craft ice sourced from Las Vegas-based company Premium Ice as well as flavored ice cubes and garnishing cubes for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Then the cocktails. The Yardbird Old Fashioned, a Southern spin on the classic features bacon-infused Buffalo Trace bourbon, Angostura bitters, orange bitters and maple syrup, served in a lowball and paired with a two-inch sphere ice. The Southern Revival comes in Mason jar with Wild Turkey 81, passion fruit and basil with block ice. A long block of ice pairs with the Albert Collins, a mix of Absolut, Avion Reposado and Spring 44 Old Tom Gin.
But whiskey lovers will rejoice. More than 100, all American, make the menu, including 65 bourbons. A collection of Pappy Van Winkle numbers five. A list of eight including Prichard’s Double Barrel and Hudson Four Grain make up the Kentucky challenge. Old school ryes give you 25 ways to drink a Sazerac. Even infused bourbons such and Bacon Buffalo Trace and Salted Maple Maker’s Mark round out the list.
Finally the beers here cover the United States with a special emphasis on Nevada brewers. CraftHaus’ Resinate, Big Dog’s Draft House Dirty Dog, Tenaya Creek Imperial Stout and Joseph James Brewing Co. Cirta Rye Pale Ale can all be found on tap. Of course you can get a Genesse or a PBR in a tall boy can as well.
Below, the entire list of cocktails, beers and whiskeys.
