The former failed Heraea sports bar at the Palms will be just a memory when the "delightfully tacky yet unrefined" Hooters takes over their footprint later this spring.
First rumored by the Las Vegas Sun, the breastaurant chain has confirmed the expansion with a new Facebook page and updates they will have access to a patio on the resort's pool deck.
Before Heraea abruptly closed in September 2013 it occupied 30,406 square feet. While initial rumors indicated the current Back Room Burger Joint would be part of the Hooters upgrade, the Palms still promises the burger joint "reopens Spring 2015."
Locally, Hooters operates its own off-Strip Hooters Casino Hotel and a stand-alone restaurant in Spring Valley. A Henderson location is also due to debut shortly, having resolved some permit issues regarding its ample signage.
