Remembering Chateau Vegas and That's Italian

Chef Lucien Lantewois was behind both.

From an Eater Vegas reader: Chateau Vegas was steamrolled by the Las Vegas Convention Center but was one of the best places to eat in Las Vegas for a long, long time.

Another classic was That's Italian restaurant. Anyone who ever enjoyed dinner there will remember the blast of garlic coming out of the restaurant as soon and you opened the door to step into the place and the complimentary Love Potent that was served after your dinner. Chef Lucien Lantewois, who worked at Chateau then opened his own That's Italian on West Sahara, was one of the best chefs with sauce that ever practiced in Las Vegas.

Both of these great restaurants are missed by all long time residents in Las Vegas
