Jenni Pho, the Vietnamese restaurant at 4480 W. Spring Mountain Road, was shut down by the Southern Nevada Heath District after a re-inspection on Dec. 30 earned the restaurant 44 demerits.
Inspectors found commercially manufactured food from unapproved sources, no hot and cold running water, ineffective pest control measures, grade cards not posted, unacceptable personal hygiene and no person in charge who was available and knowledgeable.
SNHD first inspected the restaurant last year on Nov. 13 and gave it 20 demerits. Another re-inspection followed on Dec. 5 with 17 demerits. The restaurant’s original Nov. 2012 inspection earned a C grade as well.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
