Food Network host Ben Vaughn is taking his Southern fare to Downtown Las Vegas. The Atlanta-based chef, who hosted the World Food Championships last fall Downtown, plans to open Ben’s Southern Kitchen right next door to Atomic Liquors.
Vaughn tells the Las Vegas Sun that his restaurant, opening in late spring or early summer, will be a meat and three that serves a meat dish accompanied by three Southern sides.
"I want to create a restaurant that not only features amazing tastes, but is also affordable and accessible to everyone. It’s important that the experience feel authentic and Southern to the diner. I want them to feel like they’re part of the family," the host of Health Inspectors told the Sun.
Last year, Atomic Liquors toyed with the idea of Atomic Burgers, a burger joint and beer garden with a brewery, in the space Vaughn will occupy.
