The name will be unfamiliar, but not the location. The Shoppes at Harmon Square, located across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel, is launching a major round of upgrades to the 28-year-old, 31,459-square-foot retail center.
Currently anchored by a Subway and the KISS Monster Mini Golf attraction, the Shoppes were once home to closed Stir Krazy Mongolian Grill and the Firkin pub, the latter shuttered by bankruptcy in 2013.
The new makeover will change all the facades and add three new restaurants, each with a drive-thru window.
A design rendering created to lure future tenants features speculative images of fellow neighbors, including Asian fast food chain Pick Up Stix, currently located at the Excalibur food court and Buffalo Wild Wings, now revealed by Eater Vegas to be headed further up Harmon Avenue into the Miracle Mile Shops.

Also listed as tenants in one version of the leasing brochure, burger franchise Checkers, well known for its drive-thrus and a brand new project named Tipsy Taco, which documents reveal is the unannounced brainchild of George Harris, co-owner of Mundo at the World Market Center and Alien Tequila.
The Shoppes at Harmon Square were sold $11.5 million in January 2013 and plans for remodeling by the new out-of-state owner have been in the works ever since. The upgrades have begun the formal construction and design approval process.
