Game On! Dave & Buster's Finally Confirmed for Las Vegas

All signs are pointing to a very stealthy arrival from the "fun" focused franchise.

Rumored for so many years, their arch-rival GameWorks managed to open, shutter and re-open during the wait, Dave & Buster's is finally on track to open their first location in Las Vegas and all signs indicate it will land exactly where everyone said it would.

With a motto of "Eat. Drink. Play.," the company has posted multiple job listings in recent weeks, from laundry staff to chefs, listing the work address as "Sahara Ave & I-215," placing the franchise right in Downtown Summerlin.

While the exact plot has yet to be confirmed, current permit evidence points to them creating a project on the smaller end of their usual 16,000- to 66,000-square-foot sized properties. With more than 70 nationwide locations and an average volume of more than $10 million per venture, their two-level structures feature a casual American-fare, full service restaurant, a sports bar and dozens of traditional and high-tech games of chance.

Guests play games for tickets on the "Million Dollar Midway" and redeem the winnings for physical prizes. The concept was born in 1982 when two rivals, one named Dave, the other Buster, joined forces to create one Dallas establishment.

Commercials for the generic Dave & Buster's brand are a common sight on Las Vegas local television, despite their closest current location being more than 230 miles away at the Ontario Mills mall in Ontario, Calif.
