Once again, Restaurant Business Online came out with a list of the top independent moneymaking restaurants nationwide. Overall, 15 of the biggest restaurants in terms of sales are right here in Las Vegas. Last year, 20 Las Vegas restaurants made the list.
For the second consecutive year, Tao Asian Bistro at the Venetian leads all others with gross food-and-beverage sales of $47 million in 2014, down from $64.4 million in 2013 sales.
Nine of the Las Vegas restaurants are steakhouses, and some of the splashiest names on the list include Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich, Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck and Jean-George Vongerichten with two.
