Jaret Blinn will launch his neighborhood-focused cafe and bakery in Henderson later this month and he added two local brews from Las Vegas-based CraftHaus Brewery to the menu.
A former executive pastry chef at Red Rock Resort, Blinn will open the CraftKitchen doors at 7 a.m. on Oct. 26 with a newly remodeled interior described as "industrial and rustic, yet welcoming and warm" and artwork by Las Vegas talent, including his daughter. It takes over the space vacated by the shuttered Bread & Butter.
Focused on local, sustainable and seasonal food products, the bakery will create loaves, custom cakes and mini desserts, plus the kitchen will prepare dishes such as short rib hash, smoked salmon on a house made pretzel roll, buttermilk fried chicken, and waffles with pickled jalapeño maple syrup and the C.K. Special, "2 cage free eggs, apple wood bacon or homemade turkey sausage and smashed potatoes. "
They'll be pouring CRCR coffee from the Boulder City-based Colorado River Coffee Roasters company and guests can order an "Evocation Saison" or a "Resinate IPA" beer from locals CraftHaus Brewery with their meal.
CraftKitchen is scheduled to open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
