The dining upgrades at The Orleans continue. As pre-warned, their Canal Street steakhouse and Coasta Cantina Mexican restaurant have shuttered ahead of makeovers that will create two new dining concepts, one of which is being built under the working title of Alder & Birch. In the meantime, across from the resort's French Market Buffet, a temporary steakhouse will fill the void.
Open now and for the remainder of the year, The Orleans Steak & Seafood will be the resort's fine dining focus, serving "diverse American dishes with a modern flare." The menu is offering small plates designed to share, plus "Prime Grade steaks" and seafood.
Operating from 5 to 10 p.m daily and until 11 p.m on Friday and Saturday, they will also offer a "Social Hour" deal in the new lounge every day from 3 to 5 p.m. "Bite size dishes" will be priced accordingly and on Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. the lounge features a "Reverse Social Hour" for night owls.
Also still to come, the reveal of the second dining newcomer and the start of an estimated $1,322,000 construction remodel of the Orleans' Japanese and Chinese dining option, Koji Sushi Bar & China Bistro, currently still open for business.
