Updated: Kona Grill at Boca Park Looks Skyward for Expansion

While the Fashion Show mall awaits the Strip's first, million dollar outpost for Kona Grill, the original Boca Park location has become a victim of its own success and is seeking permission to grow by almost half.

Permits have been filled for the 8,395-square-foot, sushi-focused restaurant to add a 3,663-square-foot basic expansion, but Kona also wants to increase the size of their patio and add a "roof top deck" to further increase space.

No timetable for the upgrades has been announced at the Fashion Show site, with its own 1,343-square-feet of patio staring at the the Wynn resort, is still officially "coming soon."

Updated: Now Kona Grill says the Fashion Show location will open on Monday, Nov. 9. (Oct. 23)
