Wolfgang Puck’s Cut broadens its horizons beyond Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Singapore to open its first New York City location. Puck tells The New York Times that while he’s considered Manhattan over the years, “the location was not right, or we as a team were not ready.” He moves into the new Four Seasons.

His first Las Vegas restaurant, Spago at the Forum Shops at Caesars, ushered in an era of celebrity chef restaurants 23 years ago, and now Puck says the restaurant may move. He tells the Las Vegas Sun that his lease in the Forum Shops ends in two years, and already the swanky mall wants to up the rent. "…if I cannot make a deal work out well, we will go somewhere else.”

Puck says if he does stay at the shopping mall, the restaurant could be more lounge than restaurant with something like 60 seats for dining. “The chairs are just a little lower, the restaurant will look like an upscale lounge. If we re-sign a lease, that’s my thinking for the next long life of Spago.”

He’s also contemplating one more Las Vegas restaurant that is “completely unique and different” and “just for Las Vegas.”

He tells the Sun, “It would be so Las Vegas, it wouldn’t go anywhere else in the world. It would just be for this city. I think we will do that.”
