Sharing the same space as Beni Velazquez's Isabela's and the former Republic Cuban-inspired coffee shop, Soho Pizza Bar will debut in November with a long New York pedigree.
The Best Italian Pizza Group is behind the concept, which operates five New York outer borough pizza locations, but none in Manhattan's Soho.
Focused on earning a neighborhood connection, local delivery will be encouraged and "live acoustic performances" will give the setting a unique atmosphere.
The menu includes appetizers such as Buffalo wings, garlic knots and fried calamari. Main dishes include "Philly cheese steak calzones," lasagna, a "West Side fettuccini alfredo" and an array of pizzas, including a New York-style thin crust and new creations like the the "Gramercy Park Garlic chicken," the "Taco Pie," built with beef and chorizo and mozzarella and a $24 square Sicilian, with pepperoni, Italian sausage and mozarella.
Local craft beers and a new cocktail menu are also promised. Projected opening hours will be Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m to 9 p.m, until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
