The newest sports bar on the Strip has the name of Major League Baseball's all-time hit leader over the door. Charlie Hustle himself has opened Pete Rose Bar & Grill at the Hawaiian Marketplace in a quick switcheroo. The restaurant takes over the briefly open People’s Republic.
The 9,000-square-foot restaurant, bar and Strip-side patio that sits across from Aria is a partnership with Hig Management with a menu by the company’s corporate executive chef Brian Littlejohn.
Note the menu’s Pete Rose specials, which honor the three cities where Rose played ball: Cincinnati chili on spaghetti represents the Cincinnati Reds; a classic Philly cheese steak gives a nod to the Philadelphia Phillies; and a spin on poutine honors the Montreal Expos.
Inside, find a 6,700-square-foot bar and dining room decorated with art installations and historic pieces from Rose’s baseball moments. Thirty-five fans can sit at the bar, another 250 in the dining room and 100 more fit on the patio. Expect 32 high-definition televisions.
