An alert for "CREAM Nation," the true fans of California ice cream and cookie bakery CREAM: opening day is almost here for the company's anticipated expansion into Henderson. And once again, from noon to midnight of opening day, CREAM will be handing out free ice cream sandwiches.
On October 10 at noon, you'll be able to witness a ribbon cutting ceremony at the 1,295-square-foot space, former home of Patty's Closet at the Siena Promenade, close to neighbors Gaetano's Ristorante and Buffalo Wild Wings.
Then, while you wait for signature cookies with flavors like white chocolate macadamia, lemon heaven or snickerdoodle wrapped around ice cream fillings like peanut butter twist, cup of joe and caramel cinnamon chill, you can watch the face painting, balloon artists, spin the "prize wheel" and listen to a live DJ.
Be warned, though: when CREAM debuted in Downtown Summerlin last March there were three-block-long lines of fans waiting for the free treats. As of press time, this upcoming event's Facebook page had already been tagged by almost 2,000 fans announcing they plan to attend.
