MANDALAY BAYCirque du Soleil and Hakkasan ended their ownership and management respectively of Light Nightclub and Daylight at the resort. "Expect, then, a major rebranding of Light and Daylight in coming months," the Las Vegas Sun says. [LVS]

HENDERSON — Apparently Born & Raised opened its latest location in the third largest city in the state. Al Mancini calls the second location "indeed a bigger and better version of its crosstown cousin." [VS]

PLAINS, GA — Bellagio pianist David Osborne, who regularly performs at Petrossian Bar, performed at former President Jimmy Carter’s 91st birthday party last Saturday. His setlist included a combination of "Claire du Lune"/"It Is Well With My Soul"; "Wind Beneath My Wings"; the Navy hymn "Eternal Father, Strong To Save"; "Autumn Leaves"; "As Time Goes By"; songs by John Denver and the Beatles; and "Witchcraft." SLS LAS VEGAS — Sam Nazarian sold his minority stake in the money-losing property and gives up his management as well. The Los Angeles Times hints that San Francisco-based Stockbridge Capital Partners, which owns a 90 percent stake in the resort, plans to buy Nazarian's 10 percent share. Nazarian’s personal troubles with the resort started when the Nevada Gaming Control Board found out that "he was involved in drug use and had been targeted for extortion payments." [LAT]
