WYNN LAS VEGAS — Aside from Intrigue’s idea of an invite-only club inside a club with a kitchen and where no social media is allowed, Sean Christie says the club that opens next April will have walls that change colors and no EDM deejays in the booth. Instead, the managing partner of Surrender Nightclub, Encore Beach Club and Andrea’s at Encore Las Vegas says that the nightclub that replaces Tryst will have theatrics but like The Act that shuttered quickly at the Palazzo or what Rose.Rabbit.Lie. was when it launched. “There’s theater in a secret hallway behind a hidden wall in Lakeside so you can go right into the club from the restaurant without having to come up to the hotel. There will be unique artwork in the hallway by a really cool artist — all a little bit off on purpose,” he tells the Las Vegas Sun. [LVS]
HARD ROCK HOTEL — Tom Morello, the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine, kicks off his deejay residency with Carl Restivo under the name Comandante on Saturday at Center Bar. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Morello plans to bring rock back to the nightlife scene with “his own songs from Rage, Audioslave and Street Sweeper Social Club.” While some hip-hop might make the set list, Morello says, “My job is to rock you senseless.” [LVRJ]
