HK Star has been taken over by new management after a decade of operating in Chinatown. The Cantonese restaurant had originally begun with staff from another long-term Chinatown fixture, KJ Kitchen.
HK Star is now open under the new name of Imperial One, promoting new chefs imported from Beijing and Hong Kong, plus new menu items. They are also offering valet parking at their busy Mountain View Plaza retail center, also home to Chada Thai and China Mama.
Menu items include Beijing roast duck, giant clam, live crab, braised cutlass, slow cooked abalone and sea cucumber, green curry in a coconut shell, braised meatball in brown sauce and stir fry lobster with salty egg yolk.
Opening hours remain the same, serving 11 a.m to midnight daily.
