Las Vegas’ own Elizabeth Blau joins the cast of CNBC’s Restaurant Startup. The show brings two teams of restaurateurs, who pitch their idea to a group of investors. One team wins the chance to take over a restaurant in Los Angeles for 36 hours with a $7,500 investment to test their business plan and launch a new restaurant.

Blau, who will appear in three of the nine episodes that launch on Wednesday, Jan. 6, joins restaurateur and TV personality Joe Bastianich and chef and restaurateur Tim Love, who themselves invest their own money into the competing restaurants. Blau, won owns Andiron Steak & Sea, Made LV and Honey Salt in Las Vegas among others, appears with Bastianich in one episode and Love in two.

Culinary consultant Antonia Lofaso helps the aspiring restaurateurs as they test their concept on the public. Bastianich, Love and Blau decide whether or not they will put their own money into the restaurant.
