TV star and Las Vegas restaurateur Giada De Laurentiis makes her debut at the James Beard House in New York City on Tuesday, Nov. 24, but you’re not getting tickets. The chef behind Giada at The Cromwell serves up a multi-course dinner that includes dishes from her restaurant, which staff in Las Vegas will help create. Already, the event is sold out.

The dinner starts with spicy Italian sausage arancini, lemon-crab arancini, butternut squash and apple crostini, oyster crudo with Prosecco mignonette with Ferrari Brut NV. The first and second courses include the arugula salad with candied lemon and pancetta and the rigatoni with vegetable bolognese. For the third course, De Laurentiis plans to dish up pan-roasted branzino with puttanesca duo. Then she moves on to Barolo-braised Wagyu short ribs with lemon smashed potatoes. For dessert, chocolate-amaretti cake with candied orange. Guests walk away with lemon ricotta cookies.

There’s always a shot that guests will cancel their reservations, so call 212-627-2308 to get on the wait list.
