After a few under-the-radar friends and family days, The Smashed Pig on Fremont East will open its doors this Friday for the downtown crowd.
Sitting between The Griffin and Flippin' Good Burgers and Shakes, in the former Las Vegas Tattoo and Souvenir store, husband-and-wife chef team Martin Swift and Linda Rodriguez will reveal their particular spin on an English gastropub. The couple was trained by Nobu Matsuhisa before working together at Hachi at Red Rock Resort.
Yet to unveil opening hours or their full menu, the long, thin 1,860-square foot space features a six-seat bar by the entrance, planning to host English Premier League soccer games on the TVs. Already served to early guests, deviled eggs with cornichon, fish and chips, crepes and trifle.
