Joining newcomers Bruxie, Sake Rok, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and the still hotly rumored Virgil's Real Barbecue, a familiar Strip neighbor will be popping into The Park next year. California Pizza Kitchen is about to begin work on creating a 7,115-square-foot branch inside a freshly built, empty shell space at the six-acre outdoor attraction from MGM Resorts International.
For construction alone, the project has allocated $1,300,340, creating a built-from-scratch kitchen, dining room and misting area for guests waiting outside. It will be situated on the southern side of The Park, next to New York-New York.
California Pizza Kitchen recently unveiled a "rustic" makeover of its Mirage location adding weathered wood, a remodeled bar and California-inspired artwork. That site occupies a smaller 3,958 square feet. The chain also operates at Downtown Summerlin, Town Square, Fashion Show mall and a take-out space at McCarran International Airport.
The Park is still feverishly under construction, with an April debut planned for many of the tenants. Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row announced over the summer they would be ready in July 2016, suggesting an eventual staggered roll-out for the dining options.
