The Monta brand is making another expansion, this time to the under construction, 217,800-square-foot Durango Arby Plaza in Spring Valley. Work will soon begin on building Ramen Kobo by Monta inside one of the new shell buildings at the retail center, a mile from the forthcoming Ikea megastore.
Specialists in shoyu, tonkatsu and miso ramen, the original Monta Ramen in Chinatown has grown to Monta Chaya in Henderson and in July, Monta was launched in Richardson, Texas. The company also locally runs Goyemon Sushi House and two Sushi Mon locations.
Joining Ramen Kobo will be Cafe Rio, Starbucks, Subway and the center's anchor, a 35,000-square-foot EOS Fitness.
