The resort’s mixologist Michael LaPenna shows guests how to make 12 cocktails “everyone should know.” Learn the standards of distillation, production, cocktail DNA and most importantly the techniques of tasting. Then keep the learning going from 4 to 5 p.m. at Twist by Pierre Gagnaire’s private dining room for Sips with a Master Sommelier for $50. Master sommelier Will Costello takes guests through the wines of the resort, teaching insider tips and tricks on how to blind taste test in true sommelier style while understanding oak, old world, new world, thin and thick skinned varietals.
