Exactly 447 days since Eater Vegas first revealed the Wahlburgers burger chain was headed to Las Vegas, the only physical sign of co-owners Mark, Donnie and executive chef Paul Wahlberg is a series of vinyl banners promising the burger joint is "coming soon."
First scheduled to be located on the ground floor at the rear of the Grand Bazaar Shops, that vacant space was taken over in April by neighboring Fuel Bar off-shoot, the Fuel Bar Garage. That 4,200-square-foot game lounge experiment has now shuttered.

Left are two empty spaces that are a long way from flipping melts and Wahlfaves burgers like the O.F.D. (Originally from Dorchester). The bare-to-the-walls interior space still lacks walls, a ceiling or any hint of a kitchen.
When Wahlburgers initially announced their western expansion plans, they promised three Las Vegas locations. On the Strip, this site was also promised to include a 600-square-foot outdoor patio and a walk-up window. A Wahlburgers retail shop was proposed to be added closer to the Bazaar's Las Vegas Blvd. frontage.
Since Las Vegas was first announced, the concept has found time to expand to Boston, Coney Island and Toronto, Canada.
