The Las Vegas Strip now has one less bar. The Venetian’s V Bar, which fancied itself a classic house party where guests danced on the furniture, shuttered. Fans liked the old-school hip hop music the bar played and the low or no cover charges.

Already the plywood is up, and SushiSamba painted the walls to mark the arrival of Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill, already with a location in Miami. The version there features a robata grill, hot kitchen and raw bar that former Food & Wine editor-in-chief Dana Cowin once called "a greatest hits of delicious dishes."

The restaurant serves a mix of international dishes and a "South American spirit" as well as a rum collection. Crudos, a raw bar, rib eye, whole roasted chicken with truffle fingerling potatoes and wild mushrooms and more make the menu here.

SushiSamba already has a location upstairs at the Palazzo’s Grand Canal Shops.
