Ohjah Japanese Steakhouse is moving into Henderson, heading east for the first time and taking over the shuttered Pumi Oriental Restaurant. Ohjah inherits a 5,086-square-foot corner space, with a bar, already installed teppanyaki tables with hoods and a separate enclosed bar, with the counters customized for video poker machines to be installed. Opening date is promised as "coming soon" and opening hours will be 11 a.m to 10 p.m daily.

Debuting in June of 2010, Ohjah has expanded to three local restaurants and one in Pahrump, overseen by chef Zhigang Wang, who previously worked at the Aladdin, the Orleans and an eight-year stint at the Mirage. The Ohjah specialty is sushi and dishes cooked on hibachi grills and teppanyaki tables.
