Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice brings an edible holiday display to Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show mall.
Robert Teddy of M. Antoinette Cakes and a pastry instructor at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, and Travis Martinez, a pastry chef at Caesars Palace, created this holiday work last Saturday. Both are current competitors on Food Network’s Cake Wars: Christmas and together created this entirely edible holiday scene.
The display features Jack and Jewel Frost, two figures measuring more than four feet tall and made from more than 300 pounds of chocolate, 275 pounds of sugar, 50 pounds of cake, plus icing and sugar glass. Each figure uses sugar cookie jewelry, including a specially designed tiara for Jewel Frost.
Guests can see the display at Neiman Marcus. Three Square Food Bank will accept non-perishable food donations at the display with proceeds benefiting the organization.
