Italian seafood is confirmed to be headed into Postrio, the former Wolfgang Puck restaurant at the Grand Canal Shoppes' St. Mark's Square. The central dining hub overseen by General Growth Properties will slot Mercato della Pescheria into the corner property, adjacent to the recently debuted Paris Baguette Cafe.

While little is known of the concept, Mercato della Pescheria will be overseen by Miami-based V&E Restaurant Group, which also operates the 24-hour Café Americano at Caesars Palace. V&E are currently still referring to the project by the original name, Pesceria.

New plywood revealing the updated name features images of Italian markets, pizza, cured meats and seafood, plus a random selection of appropriate Italian words, like formaggio, macchiato, dolce and al dente, hinting this "restaurant market" will be less formal than its predecessor.

While the plywood has just been installed, V&E tout the Mercato as "coming soon."
