Whoa. Virgil’s Real Barbecue IS headed to Las Vegas, only instead of residing in The Park as originally rumored, it heads to The Linq instead.
The restaurant from Carmine’s owners Alicart Restaurant Group plans a summer 2016 opening. Carmine’s, of course, opened at the Forum Shops at Caesars in July 2013.
This beast takes up 14,000 square feet with live music nightly, private dining rooms seating up to 300 guests and three outdoor spaces, including a poolside patio at the resort.
New Yorkers love this restaurant that includes executive chef Neal Corman’s regional barbecue flavors that span Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, the Carolinas and Missouri. Look for Memphis pork ribs and chicken, Carolina pulled pork and Texas beef brisket.
Virgil’s smokes its meats at a low temperature over indirect heat for up to 10 hours with a mix of hickory, oak and fruit woods. Traditional sides include barbecue beans, coleslaw and cheese grits and while the dessert menu features banana pudding and Key lime and sweet potato pies.
