Following Eater Vegas' first reveal of Chick-fil-A, White Castle and Golden Corral heading to Las Vegas, one of the most beloved nationwide chains to bypass Nevada is finally confirmed to be on its way. Cracker Barrel plans to open a restaurant and retail store on a plot of land at the Silverton, currently occupied by the watercraft sales area of the Bass Pro Shops.

While details are early and sparse, the design is promised to be compatible with the "country-Western" feel of the resort and outdoor culture of the Bass Pro Shops. The main entrance will not be through the casino floor, but the restaurant's familiar themed front doors.

Current plans are solely focused on the Cracker Barrel, but the Silverton is thinking long term and is considering adding extra retail and restaurants next to the new development. All paperwork mentions Cracker Barrel by name, but offers no timetable for the construction.

Operating more than 630 locations in 42 states, the Country Store concept and Southern dining atmosphere serves favorites such as a hash brown casserole, meatloaf, cherry cobbler and plenty of biscuits. Marketing lore notes each restaurant features a front porch with wooden rocking chairs, a wooden peg solitaire game on every table, a stone fireplace with a deer head, at least one shotgun and a traffic light.

Silverton is located five miles from the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The closest Cracker Barrel to Las Vegas currently resides in Kingman, Ariz., 106 miles away.
