The largest permanent ice bar in the world is headed to Las Vegas. Minus5 Ice Bar gets an entirely new look when it goes through a renovation at Mandalay Place. At the beginning of the year, look for double the space filled with new materials. More than 120 tons of Canadian ice will make up the walls and furnishings in the space that plans to feature a new 1,300-square-foot ice bar, making this location the largest permanent ice bar in the world. Really.
Minus5 Ice Bar’s neighboring Ice Lounge gets a new look as well. The lounge expanded to 3,000 square feet with seating for up to 500 guests. Those who don’t want to don winter coats and boots in the ice cave can sit at the toasty warm 20-seat bar or reserve one of two private rooms that can accommodate up to 80 guests each.
Expect an early 2016 reopening.
