If you want to dine at Mundo at the Las Vegas Design Center inside the World Market Center, you’d better get there today. The restaurant from George Harris, Mingo Collaso and executive chef Robert Solano just announced that the restaurant will close after service tonight and more than six years at the World Market Center.

"…with the end of our lease, we will serve our last meal at Mundo, A Latin Chic Restaurant on Friday, Dec. 4, at 9 p.m.," the owners wrote of their Facebook page. "We are so grateful to our co-workers, family, farmers & friends who have made the experience of running this restaurant unforgettable."

Some of Mundo’s dishes will move over to Mingo Kitchen & Lounge, the partners' other restaurant at 1017 S. First St.

"We want to keep this thing going and are currently evaluating potential locations and looking for investors. While the prospect of closing is a sad one, we both see this as an opportunity to improve upon Mundo’s dining room, menu and location."
