UNLVino returns to celebrate more than 40 years of hospitality in Las Vegas April 16-18. The event that covers all things wine and liquor-related brings three nights of events including Bubble-Licious, Sake Fever and the Grand Tasting.
The event that supports UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration this year honors chef Daniel Boulud and the "Godfather of Italian-American cooking" chef Steve Martorano, as well as UNLV’s presidential advisor for strategic initiatives Don Snyder with the Dom Pérignon Award of Excellence.
Bubble-Licious heads to the Doge’s Palace Plaza at the Venetian on Thursday, April 16, from 7 to 10 p.m. Champagne, of course, takes center stage. The restaurants at the Venetian and Palazzo serve up the food while James Beard Award-winning chef Daniel Boulud receives his Dom Pérignon Award of Excellence. Tickets are $125 in advance; $150 at the door.
Sake Fever moves out to Red Rock Resort on Friday, April 17, from 7 to 10 p.m. Sakes, Japanese spirits and cocktails take center stage while Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada’s master mixologists Francesco Lafranconi and J.R. Starkus conjure up the cocktails. UNLV’s Don Snyder will be recognized for his leadership at the university and in the community. Franks & Deans, the world’s first rock ‘n’ roll Rat Pack tribute band, performs. Tickets are $100 in advance; $125 at the door.
UNLVino wraps up with the Grand Tasting at Paris Las Vegas on Saturday, April 18, from 7 to 10 p.m. Jazz musician Frankie Moreno entertains while chef Steve Martorano is honored. UNLV’s culinary students and Vegas restaurants provide the food. Tickets are $125 in advance; $150 at the door.
