Forte European Tapas Bar & Bistro just launched breakfast every Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
Try the Russian breakfast with smoked fish, a boiled egg, creme fraiche and Borodinksi bread. You can even add caviar. Leige vanilla, spinach and cheese and custard-filled waffles, as well as banitza with filo dough layered with eggs and feta cheese, mekitza and langos are just some of the European dishes on the menu.
True to the Forte menu, dishes such as a Spanish breakfast and Israeli dish make the menu as well.
Forte owner Nina Manchev says brunch is on the way as well.
Also on the docket at Forte, charcuterie. Manchez says she’s spent the past 15 years getting authentic European-style charcuterie, including the entire Eastern European Troyanka line. Babek, petrohan, lukanka and sudjuk pair well with the Bulgarian wines and rakijas on the menu.
