Jackie Bee Brings Boba and Bento to the Westside

The "opening soon" and happy looking bee signage have been mounted outside Jackie Bee Boba Express for months, but the new westside spot is now open in soft mode before ramping up their menu.

Locating next door to PVP Zone, an equally new 24-hour Internet and video gaming cafe, Jackie Bee's still in-flux menu will provide discount tea, snacks and bento boxes for the gamers and students with ID studying at the nearby College of Southern Nevada.

The proposed final menu will include 30 types of drinks, ranging from milk tea to smoothies, chrysanthemum or red bean "plantation milk teas," juices and flavored and regular teas like oolong and kumquat lemon green.

Also coming, snow ice, with multiple flavors like taro pudding, red bean, mochi, or a version created with "brown sugar, honey boba, grass jelly, pudding and condensed milk."

For main dishes, their bento boxes feature curry pork chop, Thai sausage, popcorn chicken and "crispy bird nest noodle." Asian-focused snacks will be equally unusual, like squid jerky, "salt pepper deep-fry tofu," tea marinated chicken, cuttlefish ball and steam dumplings.

Jackie Bee has yet to finalize their menu and the opening hours.
