A year and a week since Eater Vegas first revealed the Mirage's plans to revamp its casino floor comes on-site confirmation a new Center Bar is finally on its way.
The resort's former poker room, which shuttered last month, will be replaced by the new bar and a new concept, Parlor Lounge, set to feature cocktails and piano accompaniment.
The plywood ad copy promises a "new dream experience," with the renderings suggesting a more upscale environment than the bright, wide-open proposal floated a year ago.
The Mirage maintains they will return a poker room to the resort later this spring, but these new additions suggest it will be hard to squeeze gaming back into this section next to the sport book.
Also on property, a $728,955 construction remodel of the high-limit gaming room begins soon and the growing realization it will be 2016 before a restaurant from chef Masaharu Morimoto further upgrades the casino.
