A food court across the street from the Clark County Courthouse continues to expand. The ground floor casual dining hub on the corner of Casino Center Drive and Lewis Avenue is already home to the Espression Cafe, Anthony's Pizza & Deli and the Sultan's Grill. New project McKen's Mexican Grill is now touted as "coming soon."

Building owner Kevin Plencner and his Oak Brook Realty and Investments have long been trying to revitalize these ground floor spaces, adding an outdoor patio to complement the indoor seating. He is currently creating a 350-square-foot Jury Room Bar to be hidden behind the food court, which will be decorated like a court room, offer specialty cocktails named "after famous judges" and feature staff wearing "uniforms to resemble courtroom staff, bailiff’s uniforms, judges robes."

The food court is still trying to attract more new tenants and is now pitching directly to food trucks looking for a downtown bricks and mortar presence. Daily, weekly and monthly leases are offered, priced at $1,000 per week.

No timetable for the arrival of Jury Room Bar or McKen's has been announced.
