Las Vegas-based publishing and events company Wendoh Media just acquired a 50 percent stake in the Life is Beautiful Festival for an unspecified amount. Partners Justin Weniger and Ryan Doherty were behind the purchase of the festival that brought musical acts such as Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon, Lionel Richie and Skrillex as well as chefs such as Hubert Keller, Scott Conant, Jose Andres and more to Downtown Las Vegas.

The event, now in its third year, returns early this year on Friday, Sept. 25, through Sunday, Sept. 27.

Rehan Choudhry founded the three-day festival that spreads over 15 city block in 2013. More than 90,000 people attended the event last year.

“Las Vegas is becoming a top destination for music festivals, and Life is Beautiful is the city’s first home-grown, large-scale festival,” said Doherty, co-founder of Wendoh Media in a press statement. “We plan to continue Life is Beautiful’s growth, starting by moving the event to late September. Not only is the weather ideal, but it is the midpoint between Labor Day weekend and Halloween. We see this as an opportunity to create another big weekend for Las Vegas through Life is Beautiful.”

The lineup for the 2015 Life is Beautiful Festival will be announced in the coming months.
