Rise & Shine: A Steak & Eggs Place is expanding beyond its Southern Highlands origins, taking over a shuttered Joe's Crab Shack in Spring Valley.
The breakfast devotees, featuring waitstaff wearing pajamas as uniforms, will occupy 7,300 square feet of the Grand Flamingo Center. Rise & Shine becomes the largest dining destination in this retail hub close to a Sears and a Target and joins new neighbors Zaba's Mexican Grill and Famous Dave’s BBQ.
There have long been rumors of Rise & Shine's aggressive expansion plans. Their first location debuted in 2010 and only serves from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch beginning at 11.30 a.m. The diner-centric menu runs from twists on breakfast classics to burgers, salads wraps and soups. With parasols decorating the ceiling, Rise & Shine is also noted for giving guests small egg timers to help time out the strength of their French press coffee.
Current signage promises the new location is "coming soon."
