Liaison, the LGBT nightclub at Bally’s Las Vegas, shuttered for good last night after the final drink was served.
Victor Drai, the nightlife guru behind Drai’s at The Cromwell, opened the first gay nightclub inside a casino last June. Drai remodeled the 7,000-square-foot space and made it a temporary home to Drai’s during the construction of The Cromwell. Once the resort opened, he converted the club into a gay club, an historic moment for the LGBT community.
"It’s really hard to believe that this is the first gay nightclub inside a casino on the Las Vegas Strip," Drai said in a press statement before the opening. "I am truly humbled to be part of a new era for the gay community."
The club upped the game for the LGBT market with its sexy decor and elevated dress code. Singer Deniece Williams performed during Pride and Laverne Cox from Orange Is The New Black hosted the opening.
