Andiron Steak & Sea now has a beacon guiding guests to one of the most anticipated restaurant openings this winter. The third Las Vegas restaurant from culinary power couple Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla is close to finished with construction and plans a March 9 debut.

The 8,338-square-foot site sits on the very north side of Downtown Summerlin on Festival Plaza Drive. This more upscale experience than most of the open air mega-mall's dining options faces the forthcoming casual Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar and becomes the closest restaurant to neighbor Red Rock Resort.

Chef Canteenwalla is creating an "homage to all things, grilled, roasted, shucked and seared."

Inspiration was found "from summertime meals grilled outdoors with a focus on premium meats, shellfish, seafood and lighter, seasonal market sides." Named after the metal support used for holding up logs in a fireplace, Andiron's wood-fired grill will be a visual and cooking centerpiece, with Honey Salt chef Joseph Zanelli overseeing operations.

Drawing on the couple's Honey Salt and Made LV, the Andiron restaurant design by Thomas Schlesser’s Design Bureaux Inc. will present "a bright dining room with light woods and floral patterns giving Andiron a decidedly feminine twist."
