Meet Wonderland Bakery, the Newport Beach, Calif., bakery serving up cakes, cookies and artistic edibles in a storybook setting in Downtown Summerlin. Owner Allyson Ames says she’s on the move with a national expansion in the works. Charming touches are found throughout this ode to Alice in Wonderland with its candy dish approach to decor. A workshop houses decorating parties with a sprinkle bar lining the wall and a variety of frostings and creative finishing touches to choose from. Those who don’t want to pick up treats to take home can instead turn to custom baking kits, mixes, aprons and other fun wares. Take a look inside.
