SNHD Shuts Down Pho Saigon 8 with 54 Demerits

Pho Saigon 8 at 9055 S. Eastern Ave. was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District with 54 demerits on Feb. 3.

Inspectors found spoiled food, potentially hazardous foods cooled improperly, food unprotected from potential contamination, grade cards not properly posted and more.

This is the first time SNHD has shut down the restaurant. In 2010 and 2014, Pho Saigon 8 earned C grades from the health district.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
