Ready to take a look at the entire dinner menu at Andiron Steak & Sea? The restaurant from über-restaurateur couple Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla opened on Tuesday night at Downtown Summerlin.
Starters include dishes such as Neuske bacon-wrapped matzo balls, steak tartare and Hudson Valley foie gras. Nab a shellfish platter for two with Maine lobster, King crab, shrimp, oysters and ceviche, or try Snow Creek oysters in a Champagne mignonette and the yellowtail crudo. A twist on the shrimp cocktail features Old Bay, horseradish panna cotta and cocktail sauce.
Nine steaks make the menu, all charred over an apricot wood-burning grill. Bone-in classics such as a dry-aged New York strip come with stuffed bone marrow and a red wine bordelaise, while chef cuts such as the 10-ounce Prime flatiron are served with glazed shallots and chimichurri sauce.
From the sea side of the menu find Scottish salmon, whole branzino and European turbo. Vegetarians can order a farro risotto with organic mushrooms, asparagus, pea shoots and pine nuts; a whole roasted cauliflower steak; or the Andiron bibimbap.
