Luna Rossa Ristorante is out before it even arrived at The District at Green Valley Ranch. Announced last March as a future tenant, Luna Rossa will no longer bring its self-described "modern Italian cuisine" to the outdoor dining and retail destination and will be replaced by Bella Vita, a new, locally created concept described as a "ristorante bar lounge."
Construction is well underway on the space found between Jos A. Banks and Ben & Jerry's. The restaurant will take advantage of the corner location facing Main Street to add patio dining and the team is currently testing a full menu they self-describe as "Obsessive Italian Cuisine."
Head chef Marco D'agati recently moved from London to head the project. He worked for the London's Provençal bistro-inspired Aubaine chain. Originally planned for a winter debut, Bella Vita is now promising it is "coming soon."
